Alienware m18 R2

This thing weighs 2kg. It's not exactly featherlight, but it's not a brick either. If you're lugging it around daily, you'll feel it in your bag.

What's Inside

You get an Intel Core Ultra 7 265H processor and an NVIDIA RTX 4080 GPU. This means it can handle demanding tasks, whether that's gaming at high settings or crunching through video edits. The 24GB of Unified RAM is decent, but keep in mind "Unified" means it's shared between the CPU and GPU, so it's not the same as traditional dedicated RAM for each.

The Screen

The 17.3-inch Mini-LED display is the star here. Mini-LED generally means better contrast and brighter highlights than standard LED panels. The 240Hz refresh rate means motion will be incredibly smooth, which is a big deal for fast-paced games. You'll see less blur and more clarity.

Connectivity and Storage

You've got a good spread of ports: Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C for fast data transfer and display output, Ethernet for a stable wired connection, HDMI 2.1 for external displays, and even MagSafe for charging. The 2TB SSD is a good chunk of fast storage, so you won't be struggling for space or waiting ages for apps to load.

What You Get

This comes with a trade-in bonus and a student discount is available. There's also a free mouse thrown in.
