Inspiron 14 5440

This Dell Inspiron 14 5440 weighs 1.9kg. It’s not feather-light, but you can carry it around without feeling like you’re lugging a brick.

What's Inside

Under the hood, this thing has an Intel Core Ultra 7 265H processor. That's paired with a hefty 64GB of DDR5 RAM. For graphics, it's packing an AMD Radeon RX 7900M. This setup suggests it's built for more than just checking email.

Display

The screen is 15.6 inches and uses something called Liquid Retina. It also refreshes at 144Hz, meaning motion should look pretty smooth.

Storage and Ports

You get 256GB of SSD storage. That's not a huge amount these days, so if you store a lot of big files, you might run out of space quickly. On the connectivity front, it's got USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, an SD card reader, and Ethernet. That covers most bases.

FAQ

What kind of tasks can this laptop handle?

With an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and an AMD Radeon RX 7900M GPU, it should be capable of demanding tasks like video editing, graphic design, and potentially gaming, alongside everyday computing.

Is 256GB of storage enough?

For general use, it might be fine. If you plan on installing many large applications or storing a lot of media files, you might find it limiting and should consider external storage.

What does the 144Hz refresh rate mean for me?

A higher refresh rate means the screen updates more times per second. For fast-paced content like games or scrolling through web pages, this results in smoother visuals and less motion blur.

How many colors can I get this in?

You can choose from Blue, Space Gray, or Silver.

What are the charging and data transfer options?

You have USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 ports, which support both charging and high-speed data transfer, alongside standard USB-A ports.
