XPS 16 9640

This thing weighs 3.3kg. It’s not exactly a featherweight you’ll forget in your bag, but it’s not a brick either. The silver finish is clean, no funny textures or anything that screams “look at me.”

What's Inside

You get an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor and an NVIDIA RTX 5070 GPU. That’s a lot of power for whatever you plan to throw at it. The 16GB of Unified RAM means the system memory is shared, which can be efficient. Storage is a bit tight at 256GB SSD, so if you hoard files, you might need an external drive.

The Screen

The 13.3-inch OLED display is the main event here. Colors should pop, and blacks will be properly black. It refreshes at 120Hz, so motion should look smooth, whether you’re scrolling through web pages or watching videos.

Connections

You’ve got USB-C, an SD card reader, USB-A, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. That’s a decent mix for most peripherals. No mention of an HDMI port, so keep that in mind if you regularly connect to external displays that way.
